12/02/2007 out with the old...

So, after writing for a few months we get a message from our drummer that he no longer wants to play for us so we're starting again.....again.

Fear not as we immediately hooked up with Steve (formely of Someday) and are really excited to have him join the fray. After only one practice we knew that our sound was going to change and that we were going to become tighter, heavier and louder as he can really pound the cans.

01/11/2006  new web site launched
So, after a 2 year break we are back in business. New site, new line up, new sound. So what have we been up to...?

Well we all went our separate ways and some of us pursued another project called angelology (RIP www.myspace.com/angelology) and then, following that we all took some time out. We started writing and playing together again in July this year but found that our sound was tired, and needed a slight change.

While not radically changing our sound, we have worked in a few parallels from genre's of music that has interested us in recent months. As a result of this, Andy (bass and backing vocals) has now moved to synths / electronics / programming / vocals and we have now recruited our good friend james (angelology / mahullen drive) to come play the four strings for us.

So where has our sound gone? While keeping the elements of post hardcore in our songs that got us playing in a band in the first place (boy sets fire, thursday etc...) we have introduced new elements to make our sound bigger, more progressive and more involved. We can't really make any close comparisons, yet we can safely say that its leaps away from the over populated music scene out there at the moment.

In all the bands we've played in we've always appreciated people taking interest in the shows we play and the songs we write, and with local scenes turning into contests to see who can have the most friends on my space, we thought it was time to inject some much needed passion into music again, and make an impact through our music rather than through our haircuts.

When did mediocrity and banality become a good image for your children? I want my children to listen to people who fucking ROCKED! I don't care if they died in puddles of their own vomit! I want someone who plays from his fucking HEART! - Bill Hicks

01/11/2006  GIGS WANTED
We're aiming to be up and playing early 2007 and pride ourselves on working a 'black flag' style ethic. Although we all have full time jobs and other commitments, we want to be heard by as many people as possible, playing any venues. We will be putting on DIY shows and trying to keep the cost for these shows as low as possible as we believe paying 5 quid to see 3 or 4 local bands is far too much, and will be trying to put on interesting shows at various venues for little or no money. Once we're up and running we will also sell personally made shirts for cost price, created by the guys in the band.
